About Thrive

Thrive is a newly launched mental health platform created for the Black community in Europe. We connect individuals with Black therapists and coaches who provide culturally competent care in English, French, and German.

We believe access to therapy should be private, respectful, and rooted in cultural understanding. As we build Thrive from the ground up, we are looking for passionate team members to shape the foundation of a platform centered on healing, trust, and representation.

About the Role

As Clinical Director, you will help guide the clinical vision of Thrive and lead the development of our therapist and coach network. You’ll ensure that our services meet high standards of professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and client care.

You’ll play a key role in building trust — both within the mental health community and among our users — and contribute to shaping a model of care that reflects the needs and values of Black individuals across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop clinical standards and onboarding processes for therapists and coaches.

  • Vet and guide professionals joining the platform to ensure alignment with Thrive’s values.

  • Provide guidance in shaping the quality and relevance of the services offered, ensuring that care is culturally sensitive, professional and rooted in ethical practice.

  • Support the therapist network through check-ins, resources, and (if applicable) peer support structures.

  • Collaborate with the team on care design and educational content.

  • Be a resource person and ambassador.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who brings insight, care, and commitment to this role. You might be an experienced mental health professional, or someone at an earlier stage of your career who’s passionate about culturally grounded care and eager to contribute.

Ideally, you have some of the following:

  • A background in mental health (e.g. therapist, psychologist, counselor, coach).

  • Knowledge of culturally competent, community-informed, or trauma-aware approaches.

  • Familiarity with the experiences of Black communities in Europe — whether through personal, academic, or professional experience.

  • A belief in accessible, respectful, and ethical care.

  • Motivation to co-create and grow something from the ground up.

Thrive est une plateforme de santé mentale récemment lancée et pensée pour la communauté noire en Europe. Nous mettons en relation les personnes à la recherche d’un accompagnement psychologique ou coaching avec des thérapeutes et coachs noirs qui offrent un accompagnement culturellement pertinent en anglais, français et allemand.

Responsabilités principales

  • Définir les standards cliniques et les processus de recrutement des professionnel·le·s.

  • Évaluer et accompagner les thérapeutes et coachs pour assurer une cohérence avec les valeurs de Thrive.

  • Apporter une orientation sur la qualité et la pertinence des services offerts, en garantissant une approche culturellement sensible, professionnelle et éthiquement solide.

  • Soutenir le réseau de thérapeutes (ressources, suivi, espaces de soutien).

  • Collaborer avec l’équipe sur la conception de contenu éducatif.

  • Être une personne ressource et ambassadrice.

À propos du poste

En tant que Directeur·rice Clinique, vous contribuerez à définir la vision clinique de Thrive et à développer notre réseau de thérapeutes et de coachs. Vous veillerez à ce que les services proposés répondent à des standards élevés de qualité, de sensibilité culturelle et de respect des personnes.

Vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la création de relations de confiance — tant avec les professionnel·le·s de la santé mentale qu’avec notre communauté — et participerez à la construction d’un modèle de soin centré sur les besoins et les vécus des personnes noires en Europe.

Profil recherché

Nous cherchons une personne investie, bienveillante et motivée par notre mission. Vous disposez d’une une solide expérience dans le domaine de la santé mentale, ou êtes en début de parcours avec une forte volonté d’apprendre et de contribuer.

Profil idéal (non exclusif) :

  • Formation ou expérience en santé mentale (psychologue, psychothérapeute, conseiller·ère, coach, etc.).

  • Intérêt ou expérience dans des approches sensibilisées aux influences culturels.

  • Compréhension des réalités vécues par les personnes noires en Europe (personnelle, académique ou professionnelle).

  • Engagement pour une approche éthique, accessible et centrée sur le respect.

  • Envie de participer à la construction d’un projet en phase de démarrage.

Hauptverantwortlichkeiten

  • Entwicklung von klinischen Standards und Onboarding-Prozessen für Therapeut·innen und Coaches.

  • Prüfung und Begleitung neuer Fachkräfte im Einklang mit den Werten von Thrive.

  • Fachliche Beratung zur Sicherung der Qualität und Relevanz der angebotenen Leistungen – mit Fokus auf kultursensible Praxis.

  • Unterstützung des Netzwerks durch Ressourcen, Check-ins und ggf. Peer-Strukturen.

  • Zusammenarbeit mit dem Team bei der Gestaltung von Bildungsinhalten.

  • Eine Ressource und Botschafter.in sein.

Über die Rolle

Als klinische Leitung spielst du eine zentrale Rolle bei der Entwicklung unserer therapeutischen Angebote und beim Aufbau unseres Netzwerks an Therapeut·innen und Coaches. Du sorgst dafür, dass unsere Dienstleistungen professionell, ethisch und kulturell relevant sind.

Du trägst aktiv dazu bei, Vertrauen in unsere Arbeit aufzubauen – sowohl in der Fachwelt als auch in der Community – und hilfst uns dabei, ein Versorgungskonzept zu entwickeln, das die Erfahrungen und Bedürfnisse Schwarzer Menschen in Europa widerspiegelt.

Wir suchen jemanden, der sich engagieren möchte und den Wunsch hat, unsere Mission mitzugestalten. Ob du bereits Erfahrung im Bereich mentale Gesundheit mitbringst oder noch am Anfang deines Weges stehst – wichtig ist deine Motivation, etwas zu bewirken.

Idealerweise bringst du Folgendes mit (kein Muss):

  • Hintergrund in der psychischen Gesundheit (z. B. Psycholog·in, Therapeut·in, Berater·in, Coach).

  • Erfahrung oder Interesse an kultursensibler, gemeinschaftsorientierter Arbeit.

  • Vertrautheit mit den Lebensrealitäten Schwarzer Menschen in Europa – durch persönliche, akademische oder berufliche Erfahrungen.

  • Engagement für einen ethischen, respektvollen und zugänglichen Ansatz.

  • Lust, etwas Neues mit aufzubauen.
