About Thrive

Thrive is a newly launched mental health platform created for the Black community in Europe. We connect individuals with Black therapists and coaches who provide culturally competent care in English, French, and German.

We believe access to therapy should be private, respectful, and rooted in cultural understanding. As we build Thrive from the ground up, we are looking for passionate team members to shape the foundation of a platform centered on healing, trust, and representation.

About the Role

We are looking for a Finance & Grants Advisor to support Thrive in developing a solid financial foundation and identifying relevant funding opportunities. This role will help us shape our long-term sustainability by advising on financial models, budgeting, and grant strategy.

You won’t be expected to manage day-to-day finances, but your insights will help guide key decisions as we prepare for funding applications and future growth.

Who We’re Looking For

You have experience in finance, grant writing, social entrepreneurship, or nonprofit development. More than credentials, we’re looking for someone who understands the financial realities of early-stage initiatives and wants to contribute their expertise to a mission like Thrive’s.

You might be a good fit if you:

  • Have experience in grant strategy or nonprofit/social impact finance

  • Are familiar with the European funding landscape

  • Understand the challenges of building sustainable, community-rooted organizations

  • Care about mental health, equity, and representation

  • Can offer clear, thoughtful, and collaborative input

  • Are willing to contribute time in a volunteer capacity while we lay the foundation

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise on Thrive’s financial structure and long-term sustainability as a mission-driven platform

  • Support the creation of early-stage budgets and financial planning documents

  • Identify relevant grants and funding streams (public, private, EU, foundation-based)

  • Review and support the preparation of grant applications

  • Offer guidance on nonprofit or hybrid financial models (e.g. social enterprise, cooperative, foundation)

  • Ensure that Thrive’s financial planning aligns with ethical and community-centered values

  • Act as a thought partner on strategic questions related to funding and development

Thrive est une plateforme de santé mentale récemment lancée et pensée pour la communauté noire en Europe. Nous mettons en relation les personnes à la recherche d’un accompagnement psychologique ou coaching avec des thérapeutes et coachs noirs qui offrent un accompagnement culturellement pertinent en anglais, français et allemand.

Responsabilités principales

  • Conseiller sur la structure financière de Thrive et sa viabilité à long terme

  • Aider à la création de budgets initiaux et de documents de planification financière

  • Identifier les subventions et appels à projets pertinents (publics, privés, européens, fondations)

  • Superviser la rédaction de candidatures à des financements

  • Apporter des pistes sur les modèles financiers hybrides ou à but non lucratif

  • Veiller à ce que nos choix financiers soient alignés avec les valeurs de Thrive

  • Participer aux réflexions stratégiques liées à la croissance et au développement du projet

À propos du poste

Nous recherchons un·e conseiller·ère en finances et subventions pour nous aider à poser les bases d’une structure financière solide, et à identifier des opportunités de financement pertinentes. Il s’agit d’un rôle stratégique qui nous accompagnera dans la construction de la viabilité à long terme du projet.

Vous ne serez pas en charge de la gestion quotidienne, mais vos conseils nous aideront à prendre des décisions éclairées, notamment en ce qui concerne la recherche de subventions et la planification financière

Profil recherché

Vous avez de l’expérience dans la finance, le développement d’ONG, l'entrepreneuriat social ou la rédaction de subventions. Plus que les titres, nous cherchons une personne qui comprend les défis des projets naissants et souhaite mettre ses compétences au service d’un projet à fort impact social.

Vous pourriez convenir à ce rôle si vous :

  • Avez une expérience dans la recherche de financements ou le conseil financier à impact

  • Connaissez l’environnement européen des subventions et appels à projets

  • Êtes sensible aux enjeux de santé mentale, d’équité et de représentation

  • Avez une communication claire, collaborative et structurée

  • Pouvez offrir vos conseils dans un cadre flexible et bénévole

  • Souhaitez contribuer à un projet collectif, en phase avec vos valeurs

  • Sicherstellung, dass unsere Finanzentscheidungen mit unseren ethischen Werten übereinstimmen

  • Sparringspartner*in für Fragen rund um Wachstum, Finanzierungsmodelle und nachhaltige Entwicklung

Über die Rolle

Wir suchen einen Beraterin, die*der uns bei der Entwicklung einer stabilen finanziellen Grundlage unterstützt und geeignete Fördermöglichkeiten identifiziert. Diese Rolle trägt wesentlich zur strategischen Ausrichtung und nachhaltigen Finanzierung von Thrive bei.

Du musst keine tägliche Finanzverwaltung übernehmen – vielmehr geht es darum, uns mit Expertise und strategischem Denken in Budgetfragen und Förderstrategien zu beraten.

Wen wir suchen

Du bringst idealerweise Erfahrung im Bereich Finanzen, Fördermittelberatung, Social Entrepreneurship oder im Non-Profit-Sektor mit. Wichtiger als dein Titel ist deine Bereitschaft, ein wachstumsorientiertes Projekt mitzugestalten, das einen echten sozialen Zweck verfolgt.

Du passt gut zu uns, wenn du:

  • Erfahrung mit Fördermittelanträgen oder Finanzplanung im gemeinnützigen Kontext hast

  • Das europäische Förderumfeld kennst

  • Ein Gespür für die Herausforderungen junger Projekte hast
